11. Settings & Account
The Settings page is accessed from the profile/settings icon in the app bar. It covers account management, subscription details, version history, and application information.
11.1 Account Section
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| User ID | Displays your account email address. |
| Subscription Plan | Shows your current plan (Free or Premium). Tap for details. |
| Modify Password | Change your account password (cloud accounts, online only). |
| Reconnect | Re-authenticate if your session has expired (red icon). |
| Logout | Sign out of your account. |
| Delete Account | Permanently delete your account (cloud accounts only). Requires confirmation. |
11.2 Subscription Details
Tap the subscription plan display to view limits:
- Plan Name — Free or Premium.
- Max Spreadsheets — Number of spreadsheets you can create (or “Unlimited”).
- Max Versions — Number of version snapshots per spreadsheet (or “Unlimited”).
- Max Rows — Maximum rows per sheet (or “Unlimited”).
- Expiration Date — If applicable.
An Early Bird offer may be available — look for the info icon next to the subscription display.
11.3 Version History
Admin or Owner role required. Access via the spreadsheet context menu > Manage Versions.
Creating a Version
- Enter an optional version name.
- Tap Create Version.
- A snapshot of the current spreadsheet state is saved.
Version List
Each version entry shows:
- Version name (or a dash if unnamed).
- Creation date and sheet count.
- Expandable action buttons.
Version Actions
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Restore | Reverts the spreadsheet to this version’s state. Requires confirmation. Current data is overwritten. |
| Copy to New Spreadsheet | Creates a new spreadsheet from this version. You provide a name and optionally copy sharing settings (Admin only). |
| Delete | Permanently removes this version snapshot. Requires confirmation. |
Warning: Restoring a version overwrites all current data and structure. Make sure to create a version of the current state first if you may need to revert.
11.4 About Section
- Application Name
- Version Number
- Website Link — Tap to visit the X-Sheets website.
11.5 Update Notifications
When a new version of X-Sheets is available, an orange banner appears at the top of the Settings page. You can:
- Tap to update.
- Tap Skip This Version to dismiss the notification.
